A ten-minute drip irrigation check
What to look at on your drip system after the first autumn rain: clogged emitters, chewed lines and the timer.

Run each zone for five minutes and walk it while it runs.
Look for dry plants beside wet ones: usually a clogged emitter, which you can clear or replace. Puddles mean a broken or chewed line; squirrels like the soft tubing near bird baths. Finally, check that the timer has moved to its winter schedule, or switch it off after a good rain.
